write it on your heart.

Its been quiet around here. And its mostly because I've been frustrated. Frustrated because I've failed at a lot of my resolutions already. Frustrated because I'm constantly fighting a battle to put time aside to study for my boards. Frustrated and tired of fighting the urge to eat candy for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Frustrated because I keep hitting the snooze button every morning instead of the gym. Frustrated about living arrangements. Basically I've been frustrated with life in general.
But last week I came across this quote.

"Write it on your heart
that every day is the best day in the year.
He is rich who owns the day, and no one owns the day
who allows it to be invaded with fret and anxiety.

Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities, no doubt crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can, tomorrow is a new day;
begin it well and serenely, with too high a spirit
to be cumbered with your old nonsense.

This new day is too dear,
with its hopes and invitations,
to waste a moment on the yesterdays."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

It was just what I needed to hear. Now things have changed and I'm feeling good. I'm perfectly content with where I am at in all aspects of my life. And I feel happy again.

That is a beautiful quote! I think I have to copy it down... I'm getting frustrated about my new year's resolutions, too.
